As we posted in this post yesterday, the Foursquare Day badge is very real. However, how to unlock it remains a mystery.
Here is what we know:
- There are some people who already have their badges
- It only takes one zero check ins to get that badge – just a shout.
- You are supposed to shout something foursquare related when you check from the foursquare phone app.
- We haven’t heard reports of anyone in the US getting a badge yet. (The badge has been activated in the US!)

I used #4SQDay in my Shout Out.
I just shouted “Happy Foursquare Day! #4sqday” and unlocked the badge, so I know that works!
I checked in with a shout of 4SqDay and got me the badge

wish you would have made the badges, a few days in advance, would have used them, today at the FourSquare meet in Mumbai!!
What about those of us who are stuck using the mobile site check-in because our phones can’t support the foursquare app? I’ve tried using Twitter and the mobile site, to no avail, and I’m stuck at home. Thanks!
Never mind. Problem solved and badge earned! This works on the mobile site as well, so shout away!
I checked in on 4sq day and DID NOT get my 4 sq day badge!
