Announcing the official foursquare badge, logo and T-shirt!

This is it! Foursquare has once again created a special badge and logo for 4sqday! We’re super proud to unveil the new 4sqday 2011 logo and confirm that users will be able to unlock a 4sqday badge by checking in on April 16th, 2011! Details on exactly how to unlock the badge has yet to be revealed, but stay tuned!

Foursquare has also designed a limited edition T-shirt to celebrate 4sqday 2011, which is now available (at 40% off!) at the foursquare store (special thanks to Chris Banks of 4sqIndy for the idea and to foursquare for making it happen!). If you’re a local 4sqday organizer and 50+ people sign up to attend your 4sqday event at meetup.com, foursquare will send you a free swag pack for your event that will include a couple of these great shirts along with stickers, pins, and banners! The deadline for getting 50+ people signed up to get these free swag packs is Monday, April 4th at 4:16pm eastern time, so get going!

Of course, these types of things don’t just happen overnight! Our hats are off to foursquare for their amazing efforts and for showing such tremendous support to the foursquare community. It’s amazing what we can all accomplish together and we’re proud to be part of this community!

By the way, foursquare has cleared it with their lawyers so that everyone can put the 4sqday logo on anything they want, even trucker hats! How cool!
